John Smalls

John Smalls is a multidisciplinary artist and designer, well known for creating graphics for consumer products and major retail and sport brands. Though he is originally a native of Philadelphia, several moves granted John the opportunity to call multiple states home. After traveling the globe, cultivating a worldly and emotive style as a result, John has returned to the East Coast to New York City. For over fifteen years, he has worked in area of graphic design, serving as an art director, product designer and illustrator. In recent years, John has used his extensive experience - skills such as knowledge of workshop equipment like 3D printers, band and table saws, painting booths, and hand tools - to transition into industrial design and manufacturing. Although successful in his graphic design career, John has realized that the aspects of his past work that he finds most rewarding are also translatable into key industrial design-related functions.
